An Overview of Your Adventure
DAY 1
Upon your arrival in Paro, your guide will warmly welcome you and escort you to your hotel. You’ll visit Rinpung Dzong, the National Museum, Kyichu Temple, and Dungtse Lhakhang.
DAY 2
Explore the renowned Taktsang Monastery, enjoy a visit to a farmhouse, and relax in a traditional hot stone bath.
DAY 3
Drive to Punakha, stopping by Simtokha Dzong, Dochula Pass, Chimi Lhakhang, and Punakha Dzong.
DAY 4
Journey to Bumthang, passing through Pelela Pass, Trongsa Dzong, and visiting Ta Dzong and the Wangdichholing Palace.
DAY 5
Witness the Jambay Lhakhang Drup Festival in Bumthang, featuring ritual dances and a fire ritual.
DAY 6
Continue to savor the festival with ritual dances and visits to Kurjey Temple, Tamshing Temple, and Wangdichholing Palace.
DAY 7
Conclude the festival experience, then embark on a day excursion to Ura Valley, visiting Mebar Tsho (Burning Lake) en route.
DAY 8
Drive to Gangtey, known for the black-necked crane migration, and explore the crane information center.
DAY 9
Return to Thimphu, where you’ll explore Memorial Chorten, the Takin Preserve, BBS Tower, Changangkha Temple, and Tashichho Dzong.
DAY 10
Hike to Tango Monastery, visit Bhutan Post, the National Library, National Folk Heritage Museum, and the Institute for Zorig Chusum.
DAY 11
Depart from Paro International Airport with the assistance of your guide.
