7-day journey to mystical Myanmar

An ideal short tour for first-time visitors to get a taste of mystical Myanmar, this tour starts in Yangon with visits to major highlights such as world famous Shwedagon Pagoda, Sule Pagoda and Botahtaung Pagoda. Visit Bogyoke (Scott) Market and stop alongside Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake to take photographs over the lake toward Karaweik Hall and the Shwedagon Pagoda.

On the second day, fly to Bagan, visit the busy local market and explore a diverse selection of the region’s most important century-old pagodas and temples. You will also visit traditional lacquerware workshops and enjoy the sunset in the vicinity of Bagan’s ancient monuments. On day three, enjoy an optional hot air balloon ride in the morning. In the afternoon, explore Minnanthu village by horse cart.

Fly to Heho on day four and proceed to Nyaung Shwe on the edge of Inle Lake. Relax and enjoy the scenery on the full day boat trip on the lake to Indaing. On day five, explore one of five rotating markets where local tribes gather to buy and sell goods. Visit a silk-weaving workshop which still uses traditional wooden handlooms and stops at a blacksmith’s forge. On day six, the itinerary allows for free exploration, spend the day pursuing whichever activity most interests you.

Fly back to Yangon on day seven. Hop on a ferry to visit Dala across the Yangon River and enjoy a trishaw ride in the village.

On the final morning, sightsee at your leisure or relax at the hotel before your transfer to the airport for your international flight. You also have the option of extending this tour with a beach stay at either in Ngapali or Ngwe Saung.
