An Overview of Your Adventure
Day 1
Start your trip by visiting Rinpung Dzong and Ugyen Pelri palace. Make your way to the National Museum, where you’ll get to see some of the most important thankas around. Then, make your way to Thimphu – the only city in the world that doesn’t have any traffic lights.
Day 2
This day will take you through the national postal office, Bhutan Post, the Textile Museum that features beautiful fabrics that tell about the country’s culture. After that, you’ll also head to the National Library, Museum of National Folk Heritage, and the Painting School, the National Institute for Zorig Chusum. Last, stop is going to be the Traditional Medicine Centre, before you end the day with a hearty dinner.
Day 3
After breakfast, head to Paro on a hike to the Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger’s Nest, which is perched on a rock above the Paro Valley. There, you’ll explore the ruins of the ancient Dzong and visit a nearby farmhouse to get a feel of local life in the countryside.
Day 4
After breakfast, your chauffeur will take you to the airport in Paro.
