master plan to boost tourism in Laos and Thailand revealed

Share

“Two countries, one destination” – this is the name of the new campaign aiming to boost tourism activities in both Thailand and Laos. The countries have agreed to work together to develop both countries’ tourism sectors as part of a five-year master plan to double the value of bilateral trade and investment to 10 billion USD. The first action will be to boost and promote activities by private and publics firms around the four bridges linking the two countries (Nong Khai-Vientiane, Mukdahan-Savannakhet, Nakhon Phanom-Tha Khaek and Chiang Rai-Houay Xai). The next step will be to build two more bridges for additional border routes to facilitate border crossings for tourist, especially from outside ASEAN.
