Explore the beauty of China’s famous ancient water towns during this 8-day excursion in Shanghai.

After meeting your guide and transferring to your hotel, your first morning in Shanghai begins with a visit to the Shanghai Museum of ancient Chinese art, the four-century-old five-acre Mandarin Yu Garden and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. In the evening, watch skilled performers put on a magnificent acrobatic show.

The tour continues in the 900-year-old town of Zhouzhuang, which is known as the ‘Venice of the East’. Enjoy beautiful water views and marvel at the ancient architecture along the scenic canals. Enjoy tours of the Shen Family Residence and Zhang Family Residence along the way.

Explore Suzhou’s largest classical garden, the Humble Administrator’s Garden, and then take a trip to the Lingering Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to the historical landmark of Pan Gate, the oldest city gate of Suzhou and the only existing water and land gate in all of China.

The next day will take you on a scenic drive from Suzhou to Wuxi. There you’ll visit the Yuan Tou Zhu Peninsula in the Taihu Lake and then relax with a serene walk through the Li Garden.

Continue to the Zhonghua Gate, which is the largest castle-style city gate. Enjoy remarkable views at an overlook of the Qinhuai River and then visit the famous Confucius Temple before concluding your unforgettable trip and returning to your hotel.
