An Overview of Your Adventure
Day 1
The journey begins from Siem Reap to Battambang, a city known for its rice plantations and preserved French colonial architecture. Along the way, you’ll visit local artisans creating stone carvings and enjoy Cambodian Sticky Rice Cake. Upon arrival in Battambang, you’ll check in at the hotel. The day continues by exploring Phnom Sampov, a limestone outcrop hosting temples and the haunting Killing Caves. At sunset, thousands of bats stream out of a cave. Dinner is served at the hotel.
Day 2
Start the day with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a local livelihoods tour where you’ll experience various artisanal activities such as sculpting, rice cake and wine production, and more. Afterwards, visit Wat Ek Phnom, an ancient temple surrounded by serene landscapes. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. If your adventure takes place on a weekend afternoon, you’ll be able to engage with Phare Ponleu Selpak orphan school students. And at last, hop onto he Bamboo Train for a unique ride before returning to Siem Reap in the late afternoon.
