From Bangkok, you’ll make your way to Rayong to explore a community workshop specializing in bamboo wickerwork, followed by a hands-on cooking lesson to prepare Pad Thai and Som Tam at a local restaurant, and finally, enjoy a serene sampan ride through the Thai Everglades, observing diverse wildlife and vibrant lotus ponds in the afternoon sun.
Day 2
Here you’ll explore the newly renovated historical Residence of Queen Rambhai Barni, offering insights into her life as the beloved “Queen of Hearts,” followed by a journey through Chanthaburi’s rich history, including King Taksin’s significant role in regaining independence. Take in the architectural marvels of gingerbread-style shop houses, and the stunning Gothic-style Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception, adorned with local rubies and sapphires, await your discovery.
Day 3
Your adventure is far from over. Today you’ll make your way to the Wat Thong Thua temple and the Maritime Museum in Noen Wong Fortress. Then savor a unique lunch on a pepper farm in Chanthaburi and learn all about the region’s “black gold.” You’ll end the day with a visit to a gem mine and the Chanthaburi Gem Centre, getting an exclusive glimpse of Thailand’s gem cutting and the sustainable gem and jewelry industry.
Day 4
The journey ends with a breakfast at your hotel, and you’ll find yourself homebound within the day.
