An Overview of Your Adventure

Begin your 2-hour journey from Miri by embarking on a 3-hour boat ride across Niah River, then embark on a 3-kilometer plank walk to Nia National Park. During the journey, you will be able to explore the prehistoric Nia Caves, the birthplace of Asian civilization, as well as the Nia Museum. Along the way, you will witness the ongoing collection of bird’s nests and the gathering of bat guano for fertilizer. At the end of the 3-hour tour, you will ascend to the Nia Great Cave, which is home to some of the most famous excavation sites in the world, including the 40,000 year old human skull. From the Great Cave, you will cross the Nia River and embark on a dark tunnel to Painted Cave. After the 3-hour journey, you will return to headquarters and enjoy lunch in a local restaurant located near Nia National Park before making your way back to Miri.
