Soon after arriving at your host’s beautiful garden home in Samut Sakhorn province, you’ll be in her garden picking Thai herbs like chili, basil, kaffir lime, lemongrass and coriander – everything you’ll need for the day’s lunch! Your cooking lesson will last about 2-3 hours during which your host will share the secrets of a number of famous Thai dishes including how to cook sweet green curry from scratch, even pressing the coconut milk from fresh coconuts. You will then share the authentic home-cooked Thai meal at the dining table over chilled beer. Some of the specialties include grilled mushrooms tossed with basil, chili, shallots and then steamed in banana leaves, and stir-fried shrimp with garlic, white pepper seeds and coriander root.
