An Overview of Your Adventure

DAY 1

Take a morning flight to Cauayan Isabela. Upon arrival, begin your 3-hour drive to the central region of Cordillera Mountain Range in the province of Ifugao. When you arrive at Banaue get your first glimpse of the UNESCO Rice Terraces, an embodiment of Ifugao’s engineering genius. Discover the culture of the area by taking the jeepney and a short trek to the village of Bangaan where you will meet and interact with the locals. Stop at a local market before returing to the hotel.

DAY 2

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on your next overland journey. While traversing the mountainous region admire the breathtaking views from Bontoc’s terraces. Visit the ethnographic museum in Bontoc, which was founded by two Belgian sisters to give you an insight into the culture and history of the area. Head towards Sagada, a peaceful highland town with stunning views, a cool climate, and lots of hiking opportunities. Later, visit the Ifugao burial caves and stroll the quaint town of Sagada, check unique homegrown restaurants that are sure to work up your appetite.

DAY 3

Begin the day with a lovely drive through the highlands, taking in vistas of vegetable-filled terraces and picturesque villages. Make your way to Mt Timbak, where you can see the burial sites of the Igorots, home of the renowned mummies. From there, make your way to the Philippines’ summer capital, Baguio. Spend a few hours in Baguio on a short tour, stopping for lunch and visiting the local market. From there, continue your drive towards Manila, passing through the central plains of Luzon, reaching the suburbs of Manila in the evening.
