Meet Semai luminary ‘Bah Bola’ and his partner ‘Major Kalam’ as they work together to improve the lives of the Batu 12 Orang Asli community in Gombak. Together with local educational institutions, they provide social responsibility programs to the local people.

Start your tour at the Orang Asli museum, the gateway to the Semai world. Then, visit the Jungle School operated by Major Kalam. Take part in a bamboo fire-starting activity using the wood you have collected from the jungle. Experience the wonders of the jungle on a trek led by ‘Bah Bola’. Learn about the area’s abundant flora and fauna and soak up the beauty of nature.

On the way back to the Jungle school grounds, build a makeshift shelter using ‘bertam’ leaves gathered from the forest. Dine on a traditional meal, accompanied by ‘jah re noi’s’ nose flute performance. Hike back to the school with the heartwarming memories you have gained.
